steam.
Can
I use my steam cleaner on unsealed floors?
Steaming unsealed floor surfaces, such
as hardwood, is not recommended and may result in warping or damaging the
surface. We recommend testing a small area of the floor with your steamer
before use.
How
do I order accessories for my steam cleaner?
Accessories can be ordered directly from
our website, steamfast.com, or by calling our Consumer Service Department at
1-800-711-6617. When ordering an
accessory from the website, match the beginning numbers with the model number
of your unit. For example, if you are trying to purchase cloth towels for the SF-275,
you would purchase the accessory A275-009. If you are uncertain about a particular
accessory please call 1-800-711-6617. We would be happy to assist you.

The absorption of the muck depends on

What
should I do before I store my steam cleaner?
Before storing your steamer, you should
drain the remaining water out of the tank and loosen the cap. If the cap is
tightly screwed onto the tank, then mineral buildup could cause it to become
stuck inside the tank.
How
do I use different accessories for different cleaning purposes?
· Corners and grout –nylon utility brush
· Flat, smooth surfaces such as hardwood floors and
glass—squeegee
· Carpet and floor—floor brush
· Wood furniture—large brush with cloth cover
· Tough areas (BBQ grill and interior of oven)—brass
utility brush
Can
I use regular tap water in my steamer?
Regular tap water can be used, however
be aware that if the water in your area is considered “hard”, mineral deposits
can be left inside the tank. Mineral deposits built up over time will limit the
amount of steam that can be released. Please be aware that malfunction caused
by mineral build up is not covered under the warranty. For this reason, we
suggest using filtered or even distilled water. If tap water is used, please
follow the instructions in the manual to clean the system with vinegar and
water.
How
do I know when the water runs out of my steam cleaner?
Roughly 1 oz of water will last for
about one minute. The unit will no longer steam once it runs out of water. With
the exception of the SF-292, SF-294 and MC-1235, be sure to let the cleaner
cool down for five to ten minutes before refilling it.
What
should I do if my steamer stops producing the amount of steam that it used to?
Mineral deposits will occur after using
tap water in the unit. Please refer to the “Removing Mineral Build-Up” section
in your owner’s manual. If you no longer have your manual, you will be able to
locate a downloadable version here. (link) If you have further problems, please
contact our Consumer Service Department at 1-800-711-6617.
